Nigel has over 25 years experience in what can be best described as “Retail Supply Chain Quality Assurance”; product development through to shelf availability. He also has significant experience in working with an international supply base that in addition to Europe includes:
  • China
  • Hong Kong
  • Taiwan
  • South Africa
  • Bolivia (South America)
  • Japan, Korea
He has a complete understanding of the individual country cultures and the associated trading “nuances” associated with these cultures.

Nigel’s previous positions include 6 years with B&Q PLC as Quality Assurance Manager and prior to that, 22 years with Granada UK Rental & Retail, ultimately heading their Quality Department.

Nigel brings to PQMS a broad range of experience which includes a thorough and practical understanding of:
  • ISO9001 and its application including associated quality audit and continuous improvement programmes.
  • European Directives; e.g. Machinery, Low Voltage, EMC Directives, WEEE Directive etc.
  • General Product Safety Regulations and British/European Product Safety Standards.
  • Quality systems, process control and continuous improvement across a wide range of manufacturing disciplines ranging from timber to electronic products.
  • Incoming and outgoing quality control and inspection systems/processes.
  • Due Diligence Systems and processes.
  • Factory and process audit/assessment against ISO9001 and bespoke quality systems (B&Q QUEST).
  • Product and process risk assessment.
  • Supplier & Supply Chain process development - Tailor Made Processes and interface.
